Chalk & Eggs is a mobile application designed to provide horse-racing enthusiasts with educational resources, tips, pick sheets and a community member chat that give you the tools you need to use chalk to your advantage in horse racing. The app is designed to provide members with a platform to make informed decisions about their investments in the industry.
Here at Chalk & Eggs we have a unique approach to handicapping and we would like to teach you our ways.
“Chalk” is great if you know how to work around it and bet it right. Part of that is being able to observe strong sequences within a card and knowing how to bet it in ways that maximize profit potential. We help our members identify what we call "Good Chalk" and "Bad Chalk."
"Good Chalk" refers to the favorites that we are confident betting through even at very low odds and can be keyed as singles in our suquencing while "Bad Chalk" refers to horses we believe are beatable and over-bet allowing us to find value in other horses in the race.
What is Chalk?
The term chalk originates from the days when horse tracks didn't have computerized screens or tickers. They had to write odds on chalkboards. Bettors took favorites more often (in that era and today), so those odds got more frequent updates on the board.

Both hail from Saratoga Springs, NY, home of the famous Saratoga Race Course and have over 20 years of handicapping expertise and personal connections with jockeys, trainers and owners in the the horse racing industry.
